Healthwinds Spa
We had our first real snow fall in Toronto yesterday morning and even though the road conditions were terrible, I was determined to make my massage appointment at Healthwinds Spa. There was some serious slipping and sliding as I pulled out of my neighbourhood but I proceeded carefully and headed out for some pampering.

I have been a client of Healthwinds since I moved to Toronto almost a decade ago. I’ve moved, they’ve moved and I keep going back. Since their relocation a couple of years ago, I like this spa even more. They offer fantastic services, spa lunches, a juice bar and other yummy treats. The shop within the spa carries some product lines that I love, like Éminence Organic Skin Care (love the wild plum eye cream) and Compagnie De Provence (can’t live without the fresh verbena body lotion).

I usually indulge in massages, facials, manicures and pedicures at Healthwinds, which are all fabulous. However, I found out some pretty great news today that many of their services would also be covered under my benefits. Services like: Hydrotherapy bath treatments, Thalassotherapy, body polishes, sugar scrubs and body wraps. These treatments are all performed by Registered Massage Therapists and can be claimed under your massage benefits should you have them.

Before or after their treatments, clients are free to enjoy tea in the lounge by the fireplace while reading a magazine. Or, head to the steam room, there is one located in both the men and women’s change rooms. This week I took advantage of the fully stocked showers, fresh towels and hairdryers and left the spa feeling fresh and ready to take on the rest of the day.
If you are hungry when you finish and want to continue your day of pampering, the fabulous restaurant Celestin, is right across the street.
